ChemPac-Lite — Support
ChemPac-Lite Support, Privacy & Terms
Everything on this page is about ChemPac-Lite: the encrypted sheet workspace and its monthly subscription. Report purchases, report tiers and filing deadlines are handled on ChemPac itself.
What ChemPac-Lite is
ChemPac-Lite is a spreadsheet workspace built for chemical operations: inventory registers and production runs, stored as encrypted sheets in your workspace instead of loose files on a shared drive.
Lite does not assess anything and does not produce a report. It holds the register, keeps it structured, and hands it over to the ChemPac report engine when you ask it to.
Two sheet kinds exist. An inventory sheet carries substance identity, quantities, hazard data and storage conditions. A production sheet carries runs: date, product, batch reference, operator, inputs, outputs and yield.
Nothing is mandatory to save
Every column and every site-header field is optional. A sheet saves with one cell filled, or with none at all — there is no validation gate between you and the save button.
The readiness panel on a sheet counts what a push into the report engine would still ask for. It is informational: it never blocks saving, and it never changes a value you typed.
"Autofill from library" fills blank hazard cells from the bundled datasets. Values you entered yourself are always left untouched.
Sheet quotas and storage
Each tier sets two limits: how many sheets you may create per billing cycle, and how many encrypted sheets your workspace holds at once. Both are shown on the subscription page with your current usage.
At the cycle limit, existing sheets stay fully readable and editable — only creating a new sheet is paused until the cycle rolls over or you move up a tier.
Reports made on ChemPac never consume Lite capacity, and Lite sheets never consume report credits. The two products are linked only by the shared vault and the push hand-off.
Encryption of sheets
Sheet titles and sheet contents are encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before upload. The key is derived from your vault passphrase with PBKDF2-SHA256 and never leaves your device.
The server stores ciphertext. We cannot read your sheets, export them for you, or restore them if the passphrase is lost — there is no recovery path, by design.
Organization sheets are sealed with an organization key wrapped individually for each member using ECDH P-256. Removing a member's grant removes their access without re-encrypting the sheets.
Push to engine
A push maps one inventory sheet into a new report draft: substance identity, quantity and unit, concentration, density, average daily throughput, days on site, physical state, hazard classification, storage type, pressure and temperature, plus the optional site header.
A push creates a draft only. Nothing is submitted, nothing is charged, and the sheet itself is unchanged. You review every row inside the wizard before anything is exported.
Derived regulatory fields are recalculated by the engine from the substance identity rather than copied from the sheet, so a stale value in a sheet cannot override the datasets.
Subscription, billing and cancellation
Lite is billed monthly through our payment provider. Changing tier takes effect on the provider's next billing event; your sheets and their contents are unaffected by a tier change.
Cancelling stops future billing at the end of the paid period. After that the discount on ChemPac purchases stops and new sheet creation is paused.
Sheets you already created are not deleted when a subscription lapses. They stay in your workspace and stay readable and exportable, so your register never becomes hostage to a subscription.
A pushed draft continues in the ChemPac EU assessment engine (Seveso III / CLP), which applies the Annex I qualifying quantities and summation rules.
Privacy — ChemPac-Lite
For the Lite service we process the account identifier, subscription state supplied by the payment provider, and technical metadata about your sheets: kind, row count, byte size and timestamps.
We do not process the contents of your sheets, because we cannot read them. Substance names, quantities, locations and site details are ciphertext to us.
Payment data is handled by the payment provider; we store the subscription reference and status, never card details.
Terms — ChemPac-Lite subscription
The Lite subscription grants access to the sheet workspace within the limits of the chosen tier, and the stated discount on ChemPac purchases while the subscription is active.
Lite is a record-keeping tool. It performs no regulatory assessment, gives no legal advice, and its contents remain your responsibility as operator.
Because sheets are encrypted client-side, availability and integrity obligations cover the stored ciphertext; recovery of a lost passphrase is technically impossible and therefore excluded.
